At last some more progress by Groundwork on the community allotment area.

Although it has taken some time, the community garden being created by Groundwork is at last beginning to take shape.
Thanks to the efforts of a group from Kirklevington Open Prison, the wasteland evident in the picture below is finally being tamed.

The site has been levelled and rotovated, a flagstone path allowing access for wheelchairs to the proposed polytunnel has been laid and some raised beds have been constructed. Gateposts have been erected in readiness for the gate that is being built in the prison workshops.

Association members are delighted with the transformation.
